You kno...This is a very interesting subject, Meese. You know that I wrestle with similar issues every day. As someone who is forced to wear comfortable jeans, sneakers and graphic t-shirts for her job, I often feel like my outward appearance, while necessary job-wise, stunts me socially. Whether it's me at the lunch counter, trying to flirt with guys or even at Macy's after work, it is hard for me to assert my femininity and of course I always feel like the guys are looking at the girls wearing Prada and Loubitons. Not at the one with holes in her jeans and the Old Navy t-shirt. You know I don't even like to go out after a work day because I feel so much grungier than every other girl on the street and at the bar. I compensate on the weekends by dressing up and then feel like people think I'm trying too hard. Sometimes I feel like I lead a double life. You're lucky you get to look cute during the day but I guess it's not easy for any of us! Damn...I haven't walked in heels in years!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
